MANSFIELD, OH- The first annual Mansfield Art festival brought out lots of local artists to Mansfield's Central Park on Saturday.

The event celebrated local artists and allowed them to share their work with the entire community.  Owner of The Green Room Gallery and Productions, Ivan Pellot said celebrating the arts is an important way to bring the community together.

"Right now we have about 50 local artists on display if you get the chance to walk around and see all of them," Pellot said.

The festival featured artists of all kinds including musicians and painters.  There were also many craft booths lining Park Avenue selling anything from falls wreaths to tie dye t-shirts.

Pellot says that this year's festival will certainly not be the last.

"This is the first annual and we want to continue to have them and it's pretty important because it enriches the culture and it is actually a way to engage with the community.  We want everybody that lives around here and who comes to visit to feel proud of what we have here and you can see that today," Pellot said.
