Centurylink has named Joanette Romero market development manager for Ohio.

Romero, who will report to Kelly Blay, Centurylink Vice President and General Manager for Ohio, will lead local community, public and media relations across Ohio, as well as the development of market relationships. Her responsibilities will include planning, developing and implementing public relations strategies, promoting a positive company image, community and government relations programs, crisis communications, and media relations.

Romero joins Centurylink after 11 years with Centurytel, managing the public relations and marketing communications for Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and Illinois.
