Jakubick Named D4 P.O.Y., 3 Spartans All-Ohio

MANSFIELD, OH- After a successful season on the basketball court Mansfield St. Peter's has been recognized for their achievements by the Associated Press.

Spartans junior Jared Jakubick was named the Division IV Player of the Year, leading the squad to a second consecutive regional title game. The 6' 3" guard was also named 1st Team All-Ohio,  averaging 18.3 ppg, 6.4 reb, 4.1 ast and 2.5 stls as St. Peter's won 25 games and their third consecutive outright Mid-Buckeye Conference championship.

Senior teammate Tyson Kent was also an All-Ohioan, named to the Honorable Mention squad. The 5' 10" point guard averaged 15.6 ppg, 6.0 ast, 3.3 reb and 2.2 stls, heading the defensive charge for the AP #2 Spartans.

Junior forward Mason Campbell was also an All-Ohio Honorable Mention selection, as he averaged 16.0 ppg, 6.8 rebs, 3.4 ast and 1.9 stls.

St Peter's finished their season at 25-3 as regional runners-up, as conference, sectional and district champions.
