Richland SWCD Launch Grant Program For Cover Crop Producers

MANSFIELD,OH- The Richland Soil and Water Conservation District is partnering with Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District to develop a grant program for producers who plant cover crops. 

The 2017 cost-share rate will be $12.00 per acre, which is the same cost-share rate as last year. Last year 880 acres of Richland County farmland received cover crops. 

Applicants can apply through Richland Soil and Water Conservation District by June 15th. Producers in Rocky Fork, Black Fork, Clear Fork, and Upper Kokosing watersheds are eligible. Visit http://richlandswcd.net/ to find out what watershed you are in.
