ASHLAND, OH - The Historic Ashland Home Tour will be held on October 7, 2017, and feature numerous Nationally Registered homes and buildings with local and architectural interest.

A list of properties on the tour can be found on their Facebook event page.

Pre-sale tickets for $12 each are available in Ashland at Annette’s Victorian Garden and the Ashland County Historical Society. Tickets are available for purchase the day of the tour for $15 at the Good Shepherd, 622 Center Street. The Good Shepherd will open their doors at 11 a.m.

On October 7, pre-sale ticket holders can redeem their tickets or digital invoices at the Good Shepherd at 622 Center Street, Ashland, for a program book and wristband which will serve as their entrance into each property.  The program provides information about the homes and the area’s rich history.  The tours begin at 11 a.m.  Homes close at 5 p.m.

Three Nationally Registered properties outside of the Center Street Historic District on the tour this year include the Vermillion Institute of Hayesville, The Hayesville Opera House, and Anderson Schoolhouse.  The Hayesville properties will be open from 12 to 4 p.m. in the afternoon and Anderson Schoolhouse will be open from 1 to 5 p.m.

Proceeds from the event go to the Center Street Historic District Association, Inc.   Past projects funded through home tours include scholarships and Victorian street signs for the historic district. The Association hopes to continue to improve the street and find ways to work with the community to preserve and protect historic properties.
