Members of the North End Community Improvement Collaborative and 25 volunteers from around the state were busy preparing NECIC's latest project, The Teaching Garden, located at 417 Blust Avenue.

The volunteers, better known as Vista's dedicated a year of their life to alleviating poverty by improving communities.

Taddie says this garden will be used for teaching purposes as well as for market.

The tomatoes, peppers, squash and melons that will grow here will be for sale at the Farmer's Market on the corner of Springmill and Bowman.

The program is Federally funded and subgranted by the Ohio Community Development Corporation.
