Beautiful things are popping up all over downtown Mansfield, thanks to a project sponsored by Mansfield Murals.

These unique works of art have been a pleasant surprise to many passerbyers over the past few months.

One of the newest murals graces the outside of Harmony House on West Third Street.

Aptly titled, "Harmony" by artist Julie Elkins, who hopes to bring peace and tranquility to the residents of Harmony House

The self-taught artist says she woke up one moring "with an urge to paint" and hasn't stopped since.

In addition to the mural, she's hoping to create a healing space for residents at Harmony House, by adding a garden, labryinth, tai-chi and art classes to the grounds.

Those looking to volunteer time and supplies can contact the Harmony House at 419-522-2283
