ASHLAND, OH - The Ashland Salvation Army received a donation from Kinder Morgan, developer of the Utopia pipeline project, to support the organization’s numerous ongoing services.

Allen Fore, vice president of public affairs for Kinder Morgan, presented a check for $5,000 to Ashland Salvation Army’s Major Brett DeMichael during a tour of the Ray and Joan Kroc Center.

Major DeMichael says "thanks to this generous donation from Kinder Morgan, we can continue offering positive, life-changing experiences through the arts, athletics, personal development, spiritual discovery and community service activities.”

Fore says “Kinder Morgan is pleased to support the important services the Ashland Salvation Army provides to the local community. We are committed to partnering with local groups and nonprofit organizations, as we have across Ohio for over 60 years, and appreciate all the city of Ashland has provided as the hometown of the Utopia pipeline’s operations.”

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church.

Its message is based on the Bible.

Its ministry is motivated by the love of God.

Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
