Sheriffs Office Investigating ATM Robbery At Mechanics Bank

MANSFIELD,OH- The Richland County Sheriff's Office are investigating an ATM robbery at Mechanics Bank on Ashland Road. 

According to a police report, the victim drove up to the ATM and was then confronted by a male wearing dark clothing, a mask, and gloves. The male told the victim to remain still and put a gun to the victim's throat.

The suspect tried to take money out of the victim's account, but there was no money to take from the account. The victim gave his girlfriends card to the suspect, who then took 40 dollars from her account. 

The suspect told the victim to drive to a gas station and call the police.

The robber is described to be a 6-feet-tall male, bigger build, with a deep voice. He was wearing dark clothing, a mask, and gloves.
