MT. GILEAD, OH – The Jane Doe found in Morrow County last week has now been identified as Denise Michelle Jones, 48.

Her last known address is listed in Florida, and her family has been notified.

Sheriff John L. Hinton says in a press release, "The cause of death is not being released at this time, however, no foul play is suspected."

An unidentified female body was found in a barn in Morrow County Saturday afternoon.

In the press release issued by Sheriff John L. Hinton from the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office, Hinton states that deputies were dispatched to a report of a dead body.

When they arrived, they discovered an adult female body in a barn on an abandoned property.

At this time, no foul play is suspected. The deceased will be transported to the Franklin County Morgue for an autopsy and for possible identification.

The female body is of unknown age, Caucasian, and possibly wears glasses. At this time authorities are considering her a “Jane Doe” as she has not been identified.

Morrow County Sheriff’s Office also reported the female victim was wearing black rubber boots, a pea coat, scarf, mittens, and a stocking cap.
