MANSFIELD, OH - The Richland County Coroners Office has confirmed that the passenger in Thursday's police chase crash has died.

Marco Gomez Jr, age 21 of Mansfield, Ohio, died Friday afternoon at Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital, according to the Richland County Coroners Office. Gomez's body was transported for autopsy.

Gomez was the passenger in Leviticus Lee Drye's vehicle during the chase.

Leviticus Lee Drye entered a "not guilty" plea on Friday to both charges of robbery he faces after being suspected of robbing a Subway on Lexington Avenue last Wednesday, as well as the Key Bank on Lexington Avenue last Thursday that ended in a chase.

Drye entered the bank and demanded "all the money" and the bank teller complied, handing over an undisclosed amount of money. The man then exited the bank and fled in an unknown direction.

A short amount of time later, officers located Drye's vehicle in the Woodland neighborhood area, at which time the suspect fled away from the officers and a pursuit ensued. He eventually crashed his vehicle in the area of West 4th St. and SR 309 in Ontario.

Drye suffered minor injuries and was transported to Ohio Health Hospital in Mansfield. He was treated, released into police custody, and taken to Richland County Jail where he remains pending a court appearance for Aggravated Robbery.

Both incidents remain under investigation and no further details are available at this time.
