Ashland Co. Sheriff's Department Loses Sergeant To Cancer

ASHLAND, OH - Ashland County Sheriff E. Wayne Risner announced Thursday that Sergeant Steve Plice of the Ashland County Sheriff's Department has succumbed to cancer and passed away.

Sergeant Plice had worked for the Ashland County Sheriff's Office for 17 years and was diagnosed with cancer in 2016. He fought for two years before passing on Wednesday, March 7th in his home.

"It is with great sorrow that Ashland County Sheriff E. Wayne Risner announces the passing of Sgt. Steve Plice. 
Sgt. Plice worked for the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office from 2001 to present. Sgt. Plice was diagnosed with cancer 2016. Sgt. Plice passed away at his home on March 7th, 2018."

"Calling hours will be on Monday, March 12th from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist church located at 210 Davis Rd. Ashland, Oh. 44805 Funeral services will be on Tuesday March 13th at 1100 hrs. There will be no graveside service."

As mentioned in the statement, calling hours will take place Monday, March 12th from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Calvary Baptist Church in Ashland.
