MANSFIELD, OH - Ed Pickens' Cafe On Main played host to the United Way of Richland County's Annual Awards Dinner on Thursday evening, with over 200 Richland County supporters and guests in attendance. The event is held each year to recognize key players in United Way campaigns and to highlight several achievements made throughout the year.

"This was a great year for us," said Executive Director Dan Varn. "We saw record attendance in all of our events...we just saw renewed enthusiasm across the county about the United Way, and it feels like a lot of the policies and things we've been working on for the past few years have finally come to fruition. Everything takes time when you're changing things up, and I feel like this year is really setting us on the road for a lot of successful things."

Several dignitaries and guests included Mansfield City Schools Superintendent Brian Garverick, Police Chief Ken Coontz, Richland County Commissioner Marilyn John, and OhioHealth Mansfield President Jean Halpin, among others.
