Mansfield Fire Dept. Extinguishes Friday Morning House Fire

MANSFIELD, OH - The Mansfield Fire Department responded to a house fire on South Diamond Street Friday morning.

According to Assistant Chief Mark Sieving, heavy smoke and flames were visible on the second story of the home upon arrival. 

No one was home at the time of the fire, so firefighters had to force their way into the home, at which time they were able to quickly extinguish the flames.

One firefighter on scene was treated for minor burns, but no other injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

    Kingwood Center staff unveiled the new Ohio Brass exhibit to the public, displaying a number of artifacts that were preserved from the company before it was bought by Hubbell Power Systems in 1978.
