Ashland University President's Son Arrested On Drug Charges

ASHLAND, OH - Brandon Campo, the son of Ashland University's President Carlos Campo, was arrested on June 19th. 

According to a police report, Campo was arrested on the university's campus at 340 Samaritan Avenue at 12:45 P.M.

Brandon Campo was charged with endangering children, possession of criminal tools, possession of drugs (Schedule 3, 4 or 5), possession of marijuana, and illegal use or possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 

Madeline Campo, Brandon's wife, was also arrested on the same charges. 

Incident property recovered from the scene were bottles of marijuana, baggies of marijuana, leather bag w/ marijuana grinders, bottles with green pills, blue pills, yellow pills and white pills, digital scale, glass marijuana pipes, glass jar with marijuana residue, a marijuana smoker, wooden box with marijuana seeds, rolling papers, and a container with marijuana residue. 

The property was recovered from the bathroom ceiling, medicine cabinet, cabinet drawer, and bedroom dresser, according to a police report. 

Brandon Campo and Madeline are scheduled to appear in Ashland Municipal Court on July 10th. 

Ashland University provided the following statement:

"The University is certainly aware of the allegations and trusts that the justice system will reach a fair conclusion in the matter. It would not be appropriate for the University to comment further on what is an on-going judicial case."
