MEDWAY Arrests Six, Seizes Drugs In Wooster Drug Raid

WOOSTER, OH - Six people were arrested and drugs totaling over tens of thousands of dollars were seized in a Tuesday drug raid in Wooster. 

The MEDWAY Drug Enforcement Agency executed a search warrant in the 500 block of College Avenue in the City of Wooster in reference to a drug investigation. 

A total of six people were arrested and transported to the Wayne County Jail. A large number of drugs were seized, ranging from Crystal Meth, Heroin, and Cocaine. The suspected street value of the drugs is suspected to be in the tens of thousands of dollars. 

Ballistic vests, two handguns with laser sights, ammunition, digital scales, packaging materials, and over $26,000 in U.S Currency was seized. 

Due to the arrest occurred within one thousand feet of a school, the arrest charges were enhanced. 

The Wooster Police Department and the Ohio State Highway Patrol Special Response Team also assisted in the investigation.
