MANSFIELD, OH- Saturday was the 4th annual Mansfield Pride Parade and Festival.

Thousands of people filled Central Park in Downtown Mansfield to join in the festivities, which included something for everyone to enjoy. There were dozens of vendors selling food, passing out freebies, and offering information. A kid's section included a bounce house, crafts, and games. There were numerous performances including comedy, live bands, and drag performances. Additionally, there was an adults-only beer tent along with a rootbeer tent for teens.

We spoke with the President of the Mansfield Gay Pride Association, Todd Rice, about why an event like this is important. "It gives a chance for people to come down who aren't familiar with the gay community to put a face with it so that they can get past the stereotypes and prejudgements and see what we're about and have fun with us," Todd explained.
