Man Injured In Motorcycle Accident In Crawford County

CRAWFORD COUNTY, OH- On Saturday at approximately 9:02 PM the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office responded to an injury motorcycle crash on Crestline Road west of the intersection of SR 602.

Deputies were dispatched along with members of the Jefferson and Whetstone Volunteer Fire Departments and Life Support Ambulance Service. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a blue 2007 Yamaha R1 that was severally damaged and off the south side of the roadway in a bean field. Ronk’s Towing removed the motorcycle from the field.

The owner and driver of the motorcycle was identified as twenty nine year old Tyler G. Dawson who was transported to the Galion Community Hospital for his injuries and later flown to Grant Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Dawson was traveling east on Crestline Road west of SR 602 and lost control of his vehicle. He traveled south off the roadway and was ejected from the motorcycle. Dawson was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
