ONTARIO, OH - OhioHealth held an All Staff In-Service Day in Ontario, which included Stop The Bleed Training.

Types of training held during the in-service day were: Stop The Bleed, A.L.I.C.E, CPR, and AED training. An evacuation drill was also held.

Stop The Bleed is a national campaign teaching individuals how to stop or control life-threatening bleeding until medical personnel arrives. OhioHealth instructors performed hands-on demonstrations on applying tourniquets, packing wounds, and correctly applying pressure.

OhioHealth received a $62,000 grant from the Ada Ford Foundation to supply wall-mounted Stop The Bleed Kits to every school in Richland County.

The training was held at both Ontario High School and Ontario Middle School.
