One Dead After Accident Inside Monro Muffler

MANSFIELD - An employee at Monro Muffler Brake & Service was killed Tuesday morning after an accident resulted in the man being pinned between a truck and a piece of equipment. 

Mansfield Police and Fire received a call shortly before noon about an injured employee at the Monro Muffler Brake & Service located at 1062 Park Avenue West. Upon arrival, first responders located the man who had since passed away. 

First responders secured the scene and waited for OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) to arrive to investigate the cause of the incident. The man's body was taken to the Montgomery County Medical Examiners office to determine the cause of death.

A statement from Monro Muffler Brake & Service was released as follows.

"We are deeply saddened by the loss of our teammate as the result of an accident and are offering our full cooperation with authorities in Mansfield, Ohio to determine the cause. We also have begun our own internal review. We are committed to the safety and well-being of our employees and extend our thoughts and prayers to our employee’s family and friends.”
