Over 150 Officers Attend Jail Administrators Conference

SHELBY, OH - The 6th Annual Ohio Jail Administrators’ Conference took place on October 3rd and the 4th, at the James W. Kehoe Center of North Central State College in Shelby.

The conference was planned and directed by a Sub-Committee for the Ohio Jail Advisory Board. Over 150 correctional professionals from around the state attended the conference this year. The Ohio Jail Advisory Board, Buckeye State Sheriffs’ Association, and the Bureau of Adult Detention, along with the Ohio Department of Corrections, maintain close relationships in which all have a substantial impact on how county and city jails operate.

17 vendors from around the country participated in the conference this year. The two-day training conference consisted of various jail related topics, including Transformational Leadership, Employment Law updates, and Jail Liability issues.
