ASHLAND, OH - The Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce held an open forum on Monday night to help voters stay informed before the upcoming election this November. The forum included representatives from a variety of organizations including the Ashland Public Library, Ohio Governor candidates Constance Gadell-Newton and Travis Irvine, and a representative for United States Senator Sherrod Brown.

Event personnel passed out pamphlets discussing the issues at hand as well as highlighting representatives to vote for in November. One of the issues discussed was Ohio State Issue 1, which has been controversial in its approach to reducing penalties for drug-related crimes. Other issues included renewal levies for the Dale-Roy school and the Ashland Public Library.

The event was held at Ashland University's Convocation Center by the Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce. For more information, visit the Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce website.
