Patrol Trooper Promoted To Sergeant At Mansfield Post

MANSFIELD, OH - A trooper has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant at the Ohio State Highway Patrol's Training Academy. 

Trooper Dustin Hamilton was promoted to the rank of Sergeant on September 30th, 2018. The promotion was recognized by Colonel Paul A. Pride, Patrol Superintendent. 

Sergeant Hamilton will transfer from this current assignment at the Norwalk Post to serve as an assistant post commander at the Mansfield Post. Hamilton will be transferred from his current assignment at the Norwalk Post to the Mansfield Post. 

Sergeant Hamilton began his Patrol career in November 2012 as a member of the 154th Academy Class. He earned his commission in April of the following year and was assigned to the Milan Post. As a trooper, he also served at the Norwalk Post.

Sergeant Hamilton earned a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice in 2011 and a Master of Arts degree in criminal justice in 2014 from the University of Toledo. He has served in the United States Coast Guard since 2015.
