ANNIE And MSYO Fall Concert Come To Ren Stage

MANSFIELD, OH -  Months in the planning, the designing of costumes and the choosing of the perfect cast, it is opening weekend for a big show at the Renaissance Theatre, "ANNIE", the second show in the Broadway series comes to life. 

Show dates are this weekend, November 10-11 and the 17 -18. 

Annie tells the hopeful story of a spunky red-headed orphan, played by McKenna Stoffer, who is determined to find the parents who abandoned her on the doorstep of an orphanage.    Stoffer is a sophomore at Ontario High School and an avid theatre performer with over 30 musical theatre productions to her youthful credit. 

Reminding us that the sun always comes out "Tomorrow," Annie demonstrates positivity in the face of adversity.   

Tickets start at $15 for Annie and are on sale now at the Renaissance Box Office.     


The Mansfield Symphony Youth Strings will present its Fall Concert of the new season this Sunday, November 11, at 3 p.m. at the Mansfield Senior High School Auditorium. 

Under the direction of Matt Domka, the concert will feature a program of classic, patriotic and popular music played by the string orchestra. 

The program includes both classical repertoire, patriotic and OSU music, including OSU Fight Songs and Hang On Sloopy, The Stars and Stripes Forever and Armed Services Salute, and Civil War Echoes by Robert Longfield.


Christmas activities are beginning to pop up in communities including the 8th annual Christmas in the Village in Navarre.

November 9th and 10th, from 10a-5pm each day this weekend, enjoy a sneak peek of an old-fashioned Christmas.

Enjoy local shopping coupled with a jump on the trolley through the village. Don't forget to get your passport stamped at participating stores and locations for a chance to win some holiday gifts. 

Also, keep an eye out on the Elf on The Shelf appearing in the village. Will you find him?


For one final weekend on the stage of Hugo Young Theatre on the campus of Ashland University, it's Little Women, the Musical. 

Based on the book by Louisa May Alcott, this classic, now in musical form, shares the story of a tight-knit family during wartime, rich with tradition, with emphasis on the March sisters and their adventures. 

Show dates are November 9th and 10th at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available through the Ashland University Box Office.

The musical is directed by Robert Sean Parker. 


Malabar Farm State Park over the weekend will offer their traditional pre-holiday, Hearthstone Cooking Workshop.

The event teaches guests how to prepare an entire Thanksgiving meal, just like pioneer days, with farm fresh produce, cast iron cookware story of Malabar Farm with a guided tour of the Big House.
