Ashland Police Hosting Coffee With A Cop Event November 30th

Ashland, Ohio— On Friday, November 30, 2018, officers from the Ashland Police Division and community members will come together in an informal space to discuss community issues, build relationships, and drink a free cup of coffee.

All community members are invited to attend. The event will run from 7:30-9:00 a.m. on November 30th at Buehler’s The Mill Restaurant, 1055 Sugarbush Drive. Please contact Amanda Patterson with questions: (419) 289-4181, [email protected]

The majority of contacts law enforcement has with the public happen during emergencies or emotional situations. Those situations are not always the most effective times for relationship building with the community, and some community members may feel that officers are unapproachable on the street. Coffee with a Cop breaks down barriers and allows for a relaxed, one-on-one interaction.

The program aims to advance the practice of community policing through improving relationships between police officers and community members one cup of coffee at a time.

Coffee with a Cop will now be regularly held on the last Friday morning of the month with the location differing from month to month
