Man Indicted On October Amish Buggy Accident

ASHLAND, OH - A grand jury has indicted Patrick A. Muscaro on several charges relating to the Amish Buggy Crash in early October.

Muscaro, age 47, was driving eastbound on US 224 in Sullivan Township near County Road 581 when he struck a horse-drawn buggy carrying a family of seven. The driver,  Andy Swartzentruber, his wife and his five children were ejected from the buggy and transported with serious injuries.

On Friday, November 9th the Grand Jury Indicted Patrick A. Muscaro on five third-degree felonies of aggravated vehicular assault, one fifth-degree felony count of possessing criminal tools, two first-degree misdemeanors counts of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

Muscaro had a previous history of OVIs going back as far as 1992 and is still in the Ashland County Jail on $100,000 bond.
