Marion Police Seek Help Identifying Robbery Suspect

MARION, OH - Around 12:33 PM Tuesday, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a robbery at the First Federal Bank located at 279 Jamesway Drive in Marion Township.

The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect was seen wearing a blue and white stocking cap with the word “DETROIT” on it, a black winter coat, brown pants, and tan gloves. The suspect is a male, approximately 6’00” tall with a medium build. He has black hair, with a black beard and mustache.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is actively looking for the suspect in connection with this robbery. Sheriff Tim Bailey is asking the public for any information on the suspect’s identity and whereabouts. Sheriff Bailey issues caution, saying that if the suspect is seen, he is not to be approached. Instead, report the sighting to law enforcement.
