ASHLAND, OH - Saturday evening the Ashland Sheriff’s Office Detectives moved in on a predator; Sheriff’s Detectives arrested Bradley Weekley, 42, of Ashland, Ohio for Importuning.

According to the charge of the Ohio Revised Code (2907.07) Importuning; 13 years or older in age; telecommunication; first offense, is a felony of the third degree.

Detectives received a complaint from a Hillsdale School student, and the investigation into a fake Instagram profile began.

“Weekley,” according to Detective Lieutenant Smart, “reached out to the young girl through the Instagram program, portraying himself as a 15-year old boy."

It started from a single complaint, and a 3-week investigation revealed, this predator was attempting to contact local juveniles through Instagram. Lieutenant Smart continued, “our Detectives were happy to oblige him when he asked to meet who he thought was a 14-year girl, who just had a birthday.”

Detectives believe there are multiple victims; “the investigation is on-going,” Detective Lieutenant Smart said.
