Galion Police Seeking Information On Drug Mart Robbery

GALION, OH - The Galion Police Department is seeking information in regards to a robbery at Drug Mart. 

On Saturday, December 8th, 2018 approximately 1:40 PM, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at Drug Mart, located at 739 Carter Drive. 

The suspect of the robbery fled the scene before officers arrived. 

The suspect entered the store and went back to the Pharmacy. At the counter, the suspect handed a pharmacist a note demanding drugs and also showed the pharmacist that he had a gun. 

The suspect then jumped the counter and demanded drugs from the pharmacist. He later fled the store and was last seen heading eastbound. 

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6'0" tall, and weighs 140-150 pounds. He was wearing a hoodie with a black stripe running down the arms and was wearing what appears to be a surgical mask over his face, with gloves on his hands. 

An undisclosed amount of pharmaceutical drugs were stolen from the store. 

No one was injured during the robbery.
