Marion's Cops And Kids Program A Huge Success In 2018

MARION, OH - Police departments around the United States are holding their annual shop with a cop programs in order to build connections with local kids and police officers this holiday season.

Local departments in North Central Ohio are doing the same. 

The Marion Police Department, Marion County Sheriff's Office, The Ohio State Highway Patrol, and OSU Marion all took local kids shopping at Meijer for the Cops And Kids Christmas Shopping Spree. 

The staff at Meijer donated 4,000 dollars to aid the event this year. Many officers were paired with kids and shopped around Meijer for clothes, toys, and more for the holiday season.

    The Richland County Sheriff's Office announced on Tuesday that the Crestview Schools Board of Education and the Sheriff's Office entered into an agreement to provide a full-time school resource officer to the Crestview School District for the 2019- 2020 school year.
