KNOX COUNTY, OH - Following a three-hour search in sub-freezing temperatures, an arrest was made in a wooded area near Fredericktown.

Around 5:30 this morning, the Knox County Sheriff's Office received a call about a woman that approached a residence on Knox Lake Road claiming that she had been kicked out of a vehicle nearby.

When deputies arrived, they found a truck in the driveway of the residence that had been stolen from Mount Vernon. The truck had apparently been left there after running out of gas. Officers learned that the driver had fled on foot, and witnesses identified the driver as Damien Miracle.

Miracle was wanted on multiple felony warrants, including felonious assault. The 38-year-old man was found and arrested without incident in a wooded area near Fredericktown around 8:43 AM.

The woman was identified as 36-year-old Jamie L. Allen of Fredericktown. Allen was transported to the Knox County Jail and is being held on probation violation, although other charges may soon follow.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol and officers from Danville and Mount Vernon Police assisted in the tracking and search for the suspect.
