Winter Storm 2019

RICHLAND COUNTY, OH- The Winter Storm over the weekend left Mansfield with approximately 12.5 inches of snow.

The storm put much of Mid Ohio in Level 2 and 3 Snow Emergencies.  Among those in a Level 3 Snow Emergency were Crawford, Huron, and Morrow Counties.

The Winter Storm Warning lasted from Friday night into Sunday morning.  Drivers were cautioned that the roadways were very hazardous.  Travelers were advised to take precautions such as keeping a flashlight, food, and water in their vehicle in case of an emergency.

Saturday night the treacherous conditions caused an accident between a train and a snow plow in the Village of Shiloh.  Read more here:  https://www.wmfd.com/news/single.asp?story=78041
