Shearer Equipment Selling All Assets To Ag-Pro Ohio

MANSFIELD, OH - Shearer Equipment recently announced that on January 30th, the company would be selling all of its assets in an acquisition by Ag-Pro Ohio, LLC. The company announced the acquisition via a Facebook post on Friday the 18th, saying that the decision was "difficult" but that it was "time to make changes to allow employees and customers access to the greatest opportunities and the brightest future that we feel is possible."

Shearer Equipment was founded in 1937 in Wooster, and has 160 employees in seven locations, including Wooster, Mansfield, Mt. Vernon, Copley, Burbank, North Royalton, and Monroeville.

Ag-Pro Ohio, LLC is a subsidiary of Ag-Pro Companies, which claims to be the largest privately-owned John Deere Dealer organization in North America. The Ag-Pro brand only recently expanded into Ohio on December 17th, in the New Albany area. According to the acquisition announcement, the company is expected to "move forward with the current employees of Shearer Equipment."
