MANSFIELD, OH - The Richland County Regional Planning Commission held an open house Wednesday afternoon to celebrate their move to 19 North Main Street in Mansfield.

The Regional Planning Commission (RPC) works hard on projects involving community development, transportation, land use, zoning, and resources to best fit the needs of the community. They had occupied their previous location at the United Way Service Center for nearly 40 years before relocating to North Main Street this month.

"We're super excited and want to really showcase to the community our new home," said Jotika Shetty, Executive Director of the RPC. "We have changed in the world as an organization, and this new location is going to suit us well and help us grow into the future."

Dozens of community members, including Mayor Tim Theaker, arrived at the building on the square to eat, drink, and get to know staff members as well as explore the new space. After the open house, the RPC held their first meeting of 2019 in a brand new conference room.
