MANSFIELD, OH  - Owner Chris Hershberger was joined by his family and members of the Mansfield community to celebrate the grand opening of Black Belt Pro Fitness in Mansfield Wednesday.

The building, located at 1099 West 4th Street, is a top-of-the-line facility designed to teach martial arts, self-defense, and other fitness techniques to individuals of any skill level.

"We're offering a multitude of martial arts training fitness for ages four and up, but we're also a regional midwest Taekwondo team, and we're helping build Olympians here," said Hershberger. "We had ten national champions last year in 2018, we've got six number one ranked athletes in the country currently on our team, all of whom are vying to be Olympians in 24 and 28, so we're really hoping to bring something special to Mansfield by way of a gold medal."

Mansfield Mayor Tim Theaker, Councilman Donnie Bryant, and President and CEO of the Richland Area Chamber of Economic Development Jodie Perry were all in attendance for the presentation of an official certificate and the ribbon cutting.

"I love the support, everyone has been so amazing," "Mansfield I feel like is in a really, really amazing place. It's like ready to explode and it's really growing, and I feel a big part of that, and I'm really hoping to help build the morale. You know, with our first ever Olympian."

Black Belt Pro Fitness offers a variety of classes for any skill level and is open from 6:00 AM until 9:00 PM every day. For more information, call (419) 612-5066 or visit https://www.blackbeltprofitness.com/.
