V.F.W. Post 1078 Supports Crawford County D.A.R.E. Program

CRAWFORD COUNTY, OH- V.F.W Post 1078 donated $1,000 to the Crawford County Sheriff's Office to be used for D.A.R.E programming.

Post 1078 Trustee Dwight Leonhardt and Quartermaster Mike Clayton presented Sheriff Scott Kent with the donation.

The D.A.R.E. program is in 8 different schools in Crawford County courtesy of Deputy Chris Martin.  

D.A.R.E provides Drug Abuse Resistance Education to students across the country.  It helps to give students the necessary tools to say away from drugs, gangs, and violence according to the D.A.R.E. website.

Gifts and donations fund the local D.A.R.E. program and provide students with classroom materials, T-shirts, and graduation materials.
