Ohio State Highway Patrol Investigating Serious Crash

HURON COUNTY, OH - The Norwalk post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a serious crash that took place Monday, February 18th at US 20 and State Route 601 in Norwalk Township.

According to a statement released by the OSHP, 60-year-old Adbikadir H. Farah of Columbus was driving south on State Route 601 in a 2012 Freightliner when he failed to stop at a stop sign at US 20. Farah struck the right side of a 2010 Dodge Charger driven by Brian P. Reinhart, age 42, of Bellvue. Reinhart suffered incapacitating injuries and was transported to Cleveland Metro by Metro Lifeflight, while Farah did not suffer any injuries. Farah had been wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash, but Reinhart was not.

Alcohol and drugs are not a suspected factor in the crash at this time. The Norwalk Fire Department, Citizen's Ambulance, North Central EMS, and the Huron County Sheriff's Office all assisted on the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
