ONTARIO - A Schwebel's Bakery delivery vehicle was struck and rolled onto its side Monday morning at the intersection of OH-314 and OH-309 in Ontario.

In the ten o'clock hour Monday morning scanner traffic indicated that an accident had occurred at the intersection of 314 and 309 in Ontario. At around 10:30 a Toyota Tundra operated by Kevin Weirich, 38, of Galion was traveling west on OH-309 and ran a red light and struck a Schwebel's Bakery delivery truck driven by 35-year-old Travis Hicks that had been traveling North on OH-314. The Bakery truck then rolled on its side, falling on top of a third vehicle, a white minivan. The bakery truck came to rest with its back door broken open and loaves of bread strewn across 314. The Tundra had a smashed front end and had come to rest off the road but not quite in a ditch on 309.

Hicks appeared unharmed on the scene but later went to the hospital for treatment on minor injuries. Weirich was cited for Running a Red Light and OVI for driving under the influence of drugs.

Traffic was still moving on OH-309 both directions and OH-314 Northbound but had been completely blocked OH-314 Southbound.
