MANSFIELD, OH – OhioHealth announced on Tuesday that it will expand its presence in Lexington through a $5 million medical office building.

The company recently purchased 8.5 acres of land on State Route 42 near Lakewood Road in Lexington. The facility OhioHealth plans to build there will boast 10,000 square feet of office space that will house several healthcare services.

The building will be the new location for the OhioHealth Physician Group Primary Care practice, with Brandon Crouch, MD, Lisa Patterson, NP, and Elizabeth Miller, NP, which has outgrown its current space at 375 West Main Street in Lexington. The practice will relocate to the new facility when it opens late fall. The new medical office building will also include new services, such as outpatient lab and x-ray. The facility size also allows for future growth.

“The new facility will accommodate more providers and services in order to improve accessibility for patients,” said Vinson Yates, president of OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital and OhioHealth Shelby Hospital. “The current location has served the community for over 20 years. While we’re excited about the new facility, we’re even happier about continuing to make a difference through our physicians and services in order to improve the health of those we serve. This investment shows our continued commitment to Lexington and the surrounding communities for many years to come.”

OhioHealth also announced its involvement in the Lexington community, which will involve serving as the official health care provider for the Lexington Minutemen, and becoming the presenting sponsor of the Lexington Blueberry Festival beginning in 2019.
