MANSFIELD, OH - With the help of over 48 churches, Mansfield's Christian community spent the past several weeks visiting each church for prayer and services almost every night. On Thursday, worshipers from various churches gathered at Mansfield's South Park pavilion to end the weeks-long service marathon in observance of Easter weekend.

"We have had 48 different churches host a two-hour prayer service from 6 PM to 8 PM each night, beginning on March 1st," said Paul Lintern, Event Coordinator for the March of Prayer. "These 48 churches are from every part of Mansfield, Lexington, and Ontario, from every denomination, there's been such a variety. There's been praying for Mansfield to become Gods-field  - that's been the general theme - and it has been a really remarkable journey."

The event was only supposed to have lasted around a month, but the program proved popular among the religious community, with coordinators including more churches as they requested to join the celebration.

"We planned only to go through March - 31 days," Lintern explained. "We kept having churches saying, can we be part of it, too? So we pushed it right on through Easter. Tonight, here at South Park, we're concluding the event."

The event featured its own theme song - "Godsfield" - written by Lintern and members of his congregation. As the event continued through the evening, various musical acts took the microphone, interjected with sermons and inspirational messages.
