Arrest Made After Armed Robbery In Marion

MARION, OH- A Marion man was arrested after an armed robbery that took place at the Ollie's on Mt. Vernon Avenue at around 11 am Friday morning.

Marion Police arrested 60-year old Douglas Thomas for aggravated robbery on Friday afternoon.  The Marion County Proscecutor's Office will be filing charges.

The arrest was made in the City of Marion on Wilson Avenue.  The Marion County Sheriff's Office, Ohio Highway Patrol, and the MARMET Drug Task Force all assisted in the investigation.

The Marion Police Department also credits local citizens with providing law enforcement with key information during the investigation.
