MANSFIELD, OH - In continuing the featured stories on Richland Young Professionals' "10 Under 40" Award Winners, WMFD spoke to Joshua Wendling.

Wendling is the owner of Elite1 Home Inspections, which was founded in 2016. Aside from Richland County, the company also operates in the Ashland and Morrow County areas. Elite1 performs a variety of inspections such as radon and termite inspections on buildings ranging from commercial to residential.

"We give our clients a thorough walkthrough of their home," Wendling said. "They always ask questions like, 'Hey, I need a roofer or a plumber,' so we always refer people to them in the community. I'm part of a networking group, and (Elite1) giving people other options helps the community in building other local businesses up. This community has improved my family in many ways. I'm local. I was born and raised in Lexington, Ohio. I serve in the Air Force in the 179th Airlift Wing. Meeting other young professionals has helped my business grow, and in turn, I've been able to help their business grow just from networking."

When asked about his reaction to receiving the award, Wendling responded:

"I was very surprised when I first found out," Wendling said. "It was such a great honor to be with those other individuals that are huge community leaders. Someone fought to put me in for this award. It was a very proud moment for my family as well."

The Richland Young Professionals "10 Under 40" award spotlights some of the best and brightest influential young people in Richland County. Stay tuned to Newswatch during the month of May for more spotlight pieces on WMFD-TV.
