CRESTLINE, OH - A teacher has been indicted after accusations of sexual battery and misconduct with a student enrolled at the Crestline Exempted Village School District.

An investigation into the matter began in March. According to complaints made by a parent to the Crestline Police Department, one of the district's teachers had conducted himself inappropriately with her child. Those incidents included making offers to take the student on special trips to sporting events, as well as asking the student to show him how to use a social media app directed at teens, among other things.

According to a statement released by Crawford County Prosecutor Matthew Crall on the Crestline Police Department's Facebook page, Crestline teacher Corey Foreshaw was indicted for one count of Sexual Battery. Foreshaw taught fourth-grade classes at Crestline schools until being placed on leave.

Prosecutor Matthew Crall was quoted as saying, "I will not be commenting on the merits of this issue because the fairness of our judicial system requires that disputed issues be determined in a court of law, not the court of public opinion."

The Crestline Village Police Department and the Crestline Village Exempted School District are said to be continuing to do everything they can to safeguard and protect the students that they both serve.
