MARION, OH - Contracts for teachers were approved by the Marion City School District Board of Education during the board's regular meeting on Monday, which are set to take effect on August 1st. The contracts will last for three years until June 30th, 2022.

"We are very pleased that we were able to reach an agreement with our teachers," said Dr. Ronald Iarussi, Superintendent of Marion Schools. "This new pact allows the Marion City School District to continue moving forward to inspire a community of achievement."

While the Marion Education Association must ratify the agreement before it can take effect, those involved were satisfied with the contracts. The next Marion City School District Board of Education meeting is set to take place on Monday, August 5th at 6 PM in the Grant Middle School media center.
