ONTARIO, OH - The fourth annual Richland County Law Enforcement Appreciation Day was held on Tuesday at O'Charley's restaurant on Lexington-Springmill Road, and featured police units from all over Richland County as well as other areas such as Crawford and Ashland.

Despite the threat of rain, event coordinators pressed on with the festivities, allowing members of the public to appreciate what law enforcement agencies do to keep communities safe. Several units that appeared at the event included SWAT Teams, Bomb Squads, and State Highway Patrol Troopers.

According to event organizer Jeff Rickel, the Law Enforcement Appreciation Day event was created to help keep morale high and to show support for those who protect and serve each and every day.

The event continued into the evening with several demonstrations such as K-9 training and Bomb Squad tactics, among others. For more information or to stay up-to-date, visit the event page on Facebook.
