LEXINGTON - A Bellville man was killed in a one-vehicle crash around 2:56 p.m. Saturday on State Route 546 outside of Lexington in Troy Township of Richland County.

The Mansfield post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol says 62-year-old Ronald Broeske was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected from his 2003 Ford F-250 pickup truck and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Richland County Coroner/.

The patrol says Broeske was driving north on State Route 546 and failed to negotiate a curve, slid off the left side of the roadway, struck an embankment which caused the vehicle to roll over multiple times.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Troy Township Fire and EMS, the Lexington Police Department and Shelly and Sons Towing.
