Over $40,000 Worth Of Drugs Seized In Bucyrus

BUCYRUS, OH- Over $40,000 worth of drugs were seized at a Bucyrus home on Thursday.

After investigating drug activity in the area, METRICH served a search warrant at 115 Wallace Avenue. 

After searching the home, law enforcement discovered large amounts of methamphetamine, heroin, and crack packaged for sale.  The drugs seized have an estimated street value of $40,000.

There was also over $1,300 worth of cash and other drug related evidence taken from the home.

Four people were taken into custody as a result of the seizure. 30-year old Jonathan Paul Bagley, 21-year old Cierra N. Vermaaten, 24-year old Jonathon Arbie Alsept, and 30-year old Detrell Vashon Lee Bennett are now awaiting charges in the Crawford County Jail.

METRICH Officers of the Bucyrus Police Department, the Crawford County Sheriff's Office, the Galion Police Department, the Crestline Police Department, and the Crawford County Special Response Team were a part of the investigation.
