Female Sustains Serious Injuries In Ashland County Crash

GREEN TOWNSHIP, OH - A crash left a Lucas female with serious injuries in Ashland County. 

The crash occurred on Sunday, September 8t 2019 at approximately 11:55 PM on State Route 39, just south of Township Road 2606 in Ashland County. 

A 2009 Toyota Corolla was traveling south on State Route 39 when it failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The vehicle then went off the left side of the roadway, struck an embankment, and rolled over before coming to a final rest in the roadway. 

25-year-old Leighanne Marie Waldo-Grumney, the driver of the vehicle, received serious but not life threatening injuries as a result of the crash. 

Waldo-Grumney was wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash. 

State Route 39 was temporarily closed while the crash was being investigated. 

The Ashland County Sheriff's Office, Perrysville Fire and EMS assisted on the scene. 

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash. 

The crash remains under investigation.
