MANSFIELD, OH - The METRICH Enforcement Unit held their annual luncheon on Tuesday to share updates on the organization's goals and objectives for 2019.

Mansfield Police Chief Keith Porch announced that the Task Force does not anticipate any disruption over the funding period of 2020 and 2021.

Throughout several presentations at the luncheon, statistics showed that many of the task force's goals have exceeded expectations. 2,427.72 grams of heroin seized within the Task Force's district, with 411 search warrants served throughout ten counties. The demand reduction for targeted substances has been met by 63%, with a decrease in substance samples such as cocaine but an increase in samples of methamphetamine and fentanyl.

Also highlighted during the meeting were programs that the Task Force is heavily involved in, such as several neighborhood watch programs, D.A.R.E. programs for youth, and various business partnerships.
