The cafe, located at 309 East Main Street, was previously an ice cream store but the building that had been vacant for quite some time before celebrating with a ribbon cutting. Several community leaders, friends and family attended the event to support the new business.

Cup and Cone Cafe is run by Cheri and Brian Johnson who wanted to combine some of their favorite food items and create a family-oriented business.

"My husband and I both love ice cream. We eat it year round and he loves coffee," said Cheri Johnson, co-owner of Cup and Cone Cafe."So we decided to incorporate them both together."

The cafe offers Johnson's Real Ice Cream, based out of Bexley, Ohio, that includes soft and hard-served ice cream. Along with ice cream and coffee, the cafe serves a variety of breakfast items the customers can enjoy.

"We call it grab and go because people live such fast paced lives right now," said Johnson."If you do have to live a fast-placed life right now, you can grab your food, your drink or milkshake and out the door you are, but if you're not fast-paced you can come on in here and have a conversation with us."
